Christmas
I've been thinking about Christmas...I'm planning to buy some fabric and a pattern for a couple of gifts. Anyone have any fun Christmas projects or presents planned? I've searched some of my favorite blogs for ideas and nothing has really caught my eye so far. I'd like to get a decent start this year so I'm not bogged down like I was last year.
I'm also thinking about the holiday party--Christmas or New Year. Hmmmm. I don't know! I enjoyed some of the freedom of a New Year's Day party but Christmas...it's Christmas and so much fun when all the gifts are under the tree and there's still that holiday anticipation. But a New Year's Day party is so relaxing. I don't know!
I'm also getting some theme ideas. One is a sweets party with the chocolate fountain, cookies, candies...have pretty snack bags for people to fill up on the way out, stuff like that. I'm not sure how much of what Lindsay used for her wedding candy buffet they actually own, but if they bought any of it themselves, that's a ton of cool glasses I can display candy in.
Second idea is asian food. Fried rice, lumpia, maybe even korean bbq since I have an indoor grill. Writing it down, I think I'm liking the sweet idea better. I can even picture the invites: spend a sweet afternoon with the colleys or sweeten up the holidays or bring in the new year with a sweet note...something cute and fun. Hmmmm. The asian party idea might be fun just to have some time for no reason!
Anyway, I think I'm just rambling and starting the planning process. In August! lol! I guess it's better than the last two year when it snuck up on me in late October. :P
