(no subject)
For the life of me, I can not wake up today. I've been at work for an hour and I'm just as sleepy as I was when I got here. Things are going well. I have the condo to myself for a week and a half. Roger had to fly to Taiwan yesterday to try to fix some things with his business. I don't know what he's going to be doing exactly, but he doesn't seem too happy about it. Something about tsunamis. And factories not able to operate.
I never mentioned how much fun I had in New Orleans. Here's some of my favorite things:
-The FOOD! Arnauds, Deanie's, Lola's, little diner place... it was all so amazing!
-Bourbon Street was insane. More insane than I expected
-At Harrah's I fell into a nasty gambling addiction and overcame it over the course of an hour. And walked out with $15 more than when I walked in!
-Rode on a ferry boat across the river
-The worst carriage ride tour guide in the world. "Folks, to your left we have Cafe Du Monde, where you can get some donuts."
-Cafe Du Monde
-Pretty hotel room
-Spending time in one of Shannon's favorite places
Joy and Dan came over on Friday night for Dan's birthday. We went to Piebar to eat and then to Park Tavern to drink. It was fun. Joy was outta control! Saturday morning we headed to the aquarium and had a great time staring at animals.
I see an ad for the dvd of Knocked Up to the right of this box I'm typing in. I want it! I also want some Indian food. Anyone know of any good not-too-pricey take-out Indian restaurants that aren't too far from the Buckhead area?
That's it for now. And I say once again, maybe I'll try to post more often! But that's doubtful.
