B'day weekend is in full swing! Last night Shannon surprised me. She got us a room at the Pickwick Place downtown. And she got us a suite on the 7th floor! It was amazing. We went and had wonderful food at the Olive Tree (formerly Grammas' (that's not like Grandma's, pay attention to the punctuation)). We had a Greek antipasto plate for an appetizer that was amazing. Amazing hummus, fresh pita bread, rice wrapped in grape leaves, peppers stuffed with feta, and tzatziki. Then we had pesto caesar salad with yum bread. And then we had filet mignon. I got mine with orzo. It was so good. One of the best meals ever. We were tired, so we went back to hotel and had champagne, and eventually went to sleep.
This morning we got up and checked out. Then we went and met Shannon's mom and her friend for lunch at O'Carr's. I hadn't been there since I went with Alison a few years ago. It was great. The chicken salad and fruit was delicious. Now I'm sitting here in a computer lab at BSC. Tonight there's a party for me and I'm excited. I don't even really know who's going to be there.
I talked a lot about food in that entry, but that's ok. I've had the best time so far this weekend.
