Apocalyptic Future Dream
I think I should just try and write this down. I don't want to, but I should I guess. So I'll go quickly. I had this dream.
It started out and I was in a big imaginary high school that I think I've dreamed in before. Some of the hallways are massive, with high, high ceilings, but in this one they were short, like corridors. Short and grey. It was a little like my high school, some kind of mix of all the high rises and bland infrastructure I've ever been in. The last thing I can remember about this dream clearly is that I had walked out of the classroom for some reason, in the middle of giving a speech. I was mic'd for some reason, and I could hear the words I was saying echoing out of speakers in the room, even as I was walking down the hall. Then I was running, because something was the matter. Something everywhere was the matter, I think. Like I had a sense of something globally wrong and felt I should get out of there. I saw President Clinton standing there with his secret service and slowed down to a brisk walk as I turned the corner. Around the corner were these parents - this balding father, nothing like my own - who saw that I was running and had to discipline me. He might have been a teacher. He walked me into another classroom.
I can't remember the next chunk, but it leads to an evacuation. They were trying to file everyone out in an orderly fashion, but that was all breaking down. The lines were starting to turn into crowds, people started panicking. There was this feeling that they were leading us somewhere I didn't want to go. I made my way to this stairwell, and managed to escape alone. Once I got outside, it gets foggy again. I remember escaping past a battle, or a slaughter or something. Everything was bare rock and sand, and the atmosphere was chaotic and threatening. A nuke must have gone off or something, because everything was destroyed. I ran out away from the chaos over behind this large blue dumpster, where I couldn't get shot. There were a lot of these things around. I was out of sight, but I knew I wasn't safe for long. Ahead of me was an incline in the rocks and a chain link fence. Behind it, I saw this massive armadillo creature that looks like it would eat me, appear over the hill. I turned around and there are monsters everywhere, and started running away from everything again.
