Whooooooooooooo's lookin' at a long weekend? Why, that'd be me. Victoria Day, bitches. Booyah.
I'll prolly end up painting the house. Not so booyah.
If I had my druthers (which no one seems to ever get) I'd be on the lake making wakes. Backwithanotheroneofthosewakemaking boats.

Riley hasn't stabbed anyone recently. Yay. I've been on him instantly whenever he starts to make pew pew noises or talk about light saber fighting and the like. We've also stuck to the carefully restricted TV and movie intake. He hasn't complained. Marie and I have always kept the boys really active with fun stuff, so their energy is being burned in positive ways. So far so good.

I settled on a Katsura tree for the yard. I built up the planting area more than a foot with frsh soil to improve the drainage. The tree looks great there.

Some areas of our garden are too crowded with plants. It will only get worse as Spring goes on. I'm faced with tossing out some. I'm picking and choosing now which ones will get relegated to 'behind the fence'. The large patches of iris are getting turfed for sure, and possibly some others.

I'm really happy with the hops we have growing in the front and back. The ones in the back are already taller than me and I'm training them horizontally along the fence. It will be neat to see how big they eventually get. I'll harvest the flowers this year and try them in my beer.

I was excitied to find that several of Terry Pratchett's books have been made into movies. Sky One channel in England has done The Colour of Magic and The Hogfather in recent years. They look like high production value with decent acting, from what I can tell in the trailers. I'm looing forward to their downloads completing.

If you like a super smooth beer that still has some character to it, try Kilkenny. It's the smoothest drinking beer I've ever tasted, (and I've tasted a lot of different beers) and has a rich flavour. Like a Guinness in creaminess (which I also really enjoy) but with less bite.
I'll definitely be drinking it more often.
