I went to get my fourth crown in four months put on today. The temporary crown has been giving me intermittent pain for the last two weeks, usually after eating and sometimes lasting several hours. The dentist you went to is an idiot and you should report him. It is also possible that he missed the nerve to the tooth that was having the work and by the time he tried to add more novocaine your tooth was hyper-sensitive. If that dentist had been working on me, he'd be a castrati now.
