I can't tell you how bummed I was to get my CA absentee ballot and see that the proposition is not on the ballot... We can only vote for President and Senator. Very bummed.
Yes, I'm serious. Actually yes, sorry, not Senate. It was for Representative Susan Davis (my last US address was in San Diego). But the point is, there was only two races on the overseas absentee ballot, President and Congressional Rep. Very disappointing.
What's most interesting is that the 18-34 demographic is 53% Yes, 35% No, which is kinda strange...though, due to weighting, that might be really screwy. But still...it makes me wonder how much is people wanting it to pass, and how much is people not understanding the ballot question (Yes=ban, No=keep rights), since this is probably the first time that the ballot has come up as "Should we take away the rights" rather than "Should we grant the rights".
Even more important is trying to get those Central Valley folks...but I'm not planning on going in that direction any time soon. Sorry I can't put my nether regions to good use.
