Last things first
Bullets about recent events and such:
1 After three glasses of pear cider, the last thing I need is for someone to buy a round of shots of Maker's Mark.
2 My presentations are going well. Three down, four to go. I want there to be awards for internal presentations, so that I can win "Best Handoff of New Product" or something.
3 I met elo_sf at the Beer Bust on Sunday. Where has this man been hiding?
4 I am missing my rehearsal on October 1 in order to go to the Plush Room to see the actors who play Anthony and Johanna do a cabaret act. It's a one-night only event, and you can bet your bottom dollar I'm going to be a stage-door Johnny.
5 We keep hiring PYTs at work. As metagrrrl put it, "I don't like veal," but they still brighten up the office, don't they? (I don't usually order veal myself, but I'm not above eating it if someone else has already prepared it and it's already on my plate. Is my metaphor breaking down yet?)
6 I am the tard of the county, and had never realized until a week or so ago that Amazon.com has a rival offering to iTunes. It took the NBC/iTunes debacle for me to find out about this. At last! I have a source for episodes of the The Closer, which I heartily endorse. I've been downloading them as fast as I can and cursing myself for not getting a faster internet service, having previously concluded to myself that there was no point in paying for a faster connection because I don't download any video porn.
7 I need to buy socks. Who is up for shopping? One task of yours would be to disallow any more purchases of underwear. Unless I find something I really, really like.
