Binding

I had set my alarm for Saturday morning so that I could go to the beginners' yoga class, but on the sounding of the alarm I thought better of it and decided sleep was of a higher priority. This having been done, I woke up around the time yoga would have started, threw myself together and ran to Flax.

I did a quick lap before decided that I needed to ask for help. When I told the reference person (whatever they're called in stores) that I needed an awl and linen thread, she perked up and asked if I was doing bookbinding oh and they had just gotten in the best new awl that she simply loved. She was fantastic. They did NOT have a staple extractor (nor did Michael's art store near my apartment, nor did a couple of hardware stores or drug stores) and I ended up getting a very small paint spatula to use until such time as I can find one.

Anyway, I've bound seven or eight of my band conductor scores over the weekend and I'm having such a good time. I'll try to take some pictures when I get home today. :) I have a few chamber pieces that have parts (e.g. the Poulenc sextet, which I have vague intentions of learning at some point) and I got special binders with pockets for those. My goal is to get all the binding done by Saturday morning so that everything can be put away for the baby shower I'm hosting that afternoon.

I might still go out for a property marking device of some sort, as I'm somewhat loathe to urinate on my good scores but unsure of how else to indicate that they belong to me.

Perhaps I need a usericon of me binding some music?

I can't get anyone in meat life (except people at work, who have MLSes) to listen to me go on about this, so pardon my online exuberance. :)

binding, music
