(no subject)
I got home from Maine last night at 8. The trip was good. My flight left from Charlotte on Friday afternoon. I got to Newark at 4 to catch my flight to Portland at 5. When I got in Amy and I went to dinner, and then had a drink at cool bar in downtown Portland.
Saturday night we went to Freeport, which was around 10 minutes away. The LL Bean corporate headquarters is in Freeport, along with the company store. We walked around LL Bean just for the hell of it. I bought my sister a stuffed lobster that says LL Bean on the side.
Sunday we visited Amy's cousin at Colby College. The campus was nice, and the college is small. The student-body is around 2000. After we left, we drove to Camden, which is charming little New England town. I took a few nice pictures of the town from the summit of a mountain just outside of town.
Monday we walked around Portland, then went to Portland Head Light. This is the most photographed lighthouse in the US. We spent a while there, walking around the park and taking pictures. That night we had a nice lobster dinner. Yum!
Tuesday we did a quick tour of the Portland Art Museum, before leaving that afternoon.
It was an excellent trip.
