So, um... I have this paper to write. For my Security class. YOU'LL NEVER GUESS THE TOPIC.

Either prove or disprove the truth behind the first lunar landing. (WTF does this have to do with Security?!)

Thing is, I don't really have an opinion, so I'm a bit stumped. What do y'all think? Conspiracy or no?

I heard it was faked... so that would mean it was a conspiracy to deceive the American people.

Here's an interesting site I found: http://www.apfn.org/apfn/moon.htm

(Squee, you have first real!post! ^___^)

There are a good number of theories out there already -- any Google search could tell you that. Here's what NASA has to say, wherein they take some of the common "CONSPIRACY~!" points and disprove them. It's an interesting read, and while it might not help you form an opinion, it might help think up some topics for your paper.

Personally, I'm not sure what I believe. I would like to believe that yes, we landed on the moon, but I do find it odd that we've yet to have a second, successful take on it. With real people, I mean.

Either way, it sounds like you've got an interesting paper on your hands! ^__^

Hah! I say conspiracy!

Well, actually, I haven't read into the subject and am therefore not qualified at all to even state an opinion, BUT... the fact that they lost the original footage of the landing, does qualify for further questioning. =D

Will you offer us your paper when it's done? I'm really interested in what you're coming up with!

Typically, unless I feel really strongly about a subject, I go with whichever side is easier to prove(/disprove). So that's what you should probably do if you don't care. I suspect you will find more sights that are trying to debunk it than ones that are trying to support it. Good luck!
