I can't be any more grateful for this. Malibu Creek State Park is definitely a place to be when you want to camp..seriously go there and camp that shit. Anyway, we got there when it was dark and we set up real quick. We had to make a stop at the Albertsons near by for some more supplies..and since we don't really have money for too much stuff we had to pull off the fill-the-cart and walk out business which is always most likely successful. Friday night was decided to be the kick-back and pack another sack night so that's exactly what we did. Jammed on drums and guitars, spun poi, sang whatever came to mind, etc. We made some bomb tea with cocoa leaves and salvia leaves. Since we had a whole bunch of salvia, we decided to smoke that as well and called it the "nick berg experience" (individually ripping the bong with nick berg as an idolized salvia shaman in his tent) I honestly do not like salvia just because I cannot understand it..like at all...but I did it anyway, and damn..that trip was just too wierd. My surroundings were still perceived physically but slowly inching away as I tried to catch up and before I knew it I wasn't even in the tent anymore purple and red were exaggerated and I had gone into a state of mind where I could no longer understand what I see and feel but only hear. The rest of the night was pretty much good ol' times dancing with Mary Jane.
The next morning I woke up at 4:45 am, washed my face and all that, and started to distribute excellent potent paper. After feeding myself and the girls a nice dose, I quietly headed over to the guys tent and unzipped the door. I shook them and told them to stick out their tongue (they were still asleep), Chris wasn't even conscious until a couple minutes after I put paper in his mouth so he really did wake up with tabs in his mouth haha.."Good Morning!!!" "Grace..you're crazy.." "Yeah, I know. Good thing you're down for crazy people!"
Ate some breakfast, packed up for a hike, and headed out. We wanted to get to a beautiful spot for the sunrise. We didn't find a trail but we did find many mountains to climb. There were 3 phases..phase 1: tall tall grass..phase 2: impractical branches and path making..phase 3: straight up rock climbing..It was definitely a mission and the whole time the only sense of direction was forward and keep going. When we got to the top it was SUCH an amazing view! We took a look at where we were when we were on the bottom and it was shocking to see how far we climbed. Toked some bowls, spun poi, and took pictures while basking in our accomplishment. We saw people walking afar and so we yelled "HAVE A NICE DAY!!" we didn't think they heard us but moments later we hear "YOU....TOO!" haha it was great.. One main thought on top of the mountain was the significance of love..how loving one another or something comes with many ties and different frequencies of both hardship and ease. It also triggered the understanding of "loving nothing" from the teachings of Buddha..as well as the connection between love <--> desire and desire <--> suffering. When I do say that I love something or someone it's another thing to manifest in with all that I am..and that's a lot!The looking glass is such a beautiful thing... Anyway, hiking down was a lot easier and I had this epic moment with this huge perfectly woven spider web..whoo hallucinated balls off that wierd shit. We went back to the campsite jammed and all that and it was hilarious we were going to take a drive somewhere so we were getting ready to leave the site but we were so frantic and didn't know what to bring..hilarious cuz' everyone was peaking and once we FINALLY got in the car we drove a little bit but one of the drivers was frying wayyy too hard..he couldn't stop laughing so we just went back to the campsite haha. We hiked through the creek and had more jam sessions.
That night we went to FRESH and man it went downnnnn. Most of the night I kicked it by a tree and conversed with Tom..those were some amazing conversations. I swear he can be my guru. The music there was off the hook until they were forced to turn the music down at a certain time but it was still really good.
The next day everyone was sooo tired and so we caught up on some sleep. We were all planning to fry again and it was going to be the hiking adventure but that obviously had to be cancelled. All the people that took ecstacy was feelin' like shit..and they couldn't do much..gotta consider the aftermath my friend. Nick, Jenna, Keanna, and I went to Venice while Grady and Chris were passed out. We met up with a bunch of my Human Tribe kids and enjoyed the drum circle. Man everyone there are sooo down for life haha..it was beautiful. When we went back to the campsite..Nick and I dropped some paper and did night hiking and it was some scary shit!! Audio hallucination like a bitch with all those animal sounds and our senses perceived false actualities on how the creek looked cuz we could only see a couple feet in front of us at a time. It was definitely an adventure. We sat at the tree of life and poi'd..sat around a fire and talked..etc.etc.
Next morning packed up and headed out..on the way out I saw Monique, Nikki, Nicole, Kylie, Jon, and all them kids, it was awesome. We were already missing the whole adventure it was beyond amazing..Definitely coming back soon.
