Funny How?
Greeting and welcome to the show.
Forgive me for my absence. I have been dealing with a busted foot for about 8 weeks, and with the start of fantasy football season.....well you those of you that play know where I am coming from. It can be all consuming.
I'm sure everyone by now has finished Dance and most likely with mixed emotions. Spending your days wondering if you can get behind some of these new characters like Aegon etc. It's like the new kid at school that transfers in 5th grade. It takes a while for the other kids to acclimate themselves to him. How will he affect the schoolyard pecking order? Is the kid a jag? Is he a jock? Can I get him to come over and play AD&D? So many questions.
But like all things Fire and Ice, I'm sure we will have to wait a long long time to find out. By then we will forget these newbies and stick to those characters we love. I want more Jonny Snow and Arya. Maybe more Tyrion, if The Funny Man can pull away from his desires to continue to make Tyrion a sideshow. What is he some sort of clown? Someone here to entertain you? To amuse you? WHAT THE FUCK MAKES TYRION SO FUCKING FUNNY?
Whew...... sorry bad flashback there. You know what i'm talkin' about? No? Perhaps a little reminder;

So I was perusing Hambo's NAB - then I actually found Hambo..... hilarious
Not-aBlog - nothing real new there. The plugging of an illustrated DWD edition for those who want to buy the book twice, and many many self-pats on the back for Dance's postion on the NY Times bestseller list.
So if i were a betting man, and i am, i would guess we won't hear any news about Winds of Winter until...let's say we set the over/under at March of 2012 - too soon? All right i will set the mark at May 2012 and still take the 'over'.
