Just a quick reminder to everyone that the deadline for the Tower of the Hand contest arrives tomorrow. E-mail in your guesses about if and when we will be seeing ADWD in 2009.
On another note, here is a lengthy, yet interesting article by Steve Tompkins of The Cimmerian about the wait for ADWD. We get a lukewarm mention in the article, accusing Pesci, me, and our readers of too much negativism, which may or may not be true. However, I do have to applaud their claim that GRRM is "a gent of trenchermanly physique." Now that's some fine writing. Read the whole thing if you have time, because Tompkins is quite an adept wordsmith. Tompkins also notes a short dismissal of GRRM's work from Morgan Holmes at REHupa, a posting from last year I never saw before. If it's new to you like it was to me, check it out as well.
