Nothing. Likely it wouldn't take more than an hour of his time. But then he might have to say how many projects he's worked on since AFfC's publication, and how much time he's spent *not* writing ADwD, and he knows that might cause a riot on his blog and at the cons he's so fond of.
"Finally I tought to myself, Martin will stop talking about football and move on to writing the book."
*wistful sigh* I used to think that way, too. "Martin has finished Project X, so now he'll be able to devote more of his time to ADwD and he'll finish it soon." Six months later: "Well, okay, we're still waiting, but now that Project Y is done, surely Dance will be finished soon." This went on for several years... until I realized that no matter what, he'll always heap new projects on his plate the moment the previous ones are completed.

I'd think I'd rather call him the rage against courtesy of the literary world. It would take *so* little time to update the update and let us know what's what with Dance, but he prefers to remain a black hole into which he sucks all signs of dissent and protest.
