Marissa turned 3 yesterday. She had such a good time, and I'm so happy that I could make it good for her. When she woke up this morning she asked, "Can I have birthday again??" It was so cute. :P

Yesterday morning we went to pick up her cake and then to the toy store. I spent about an hour chasing her around Toys R Us, then as we were driving home I decided to call my mom and see if she wanted to go to lunch. Conversation went something like this:

Me: Hey mom, where are you? Want to go to lunch?
Her: Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I'm at 81st and Memorial.. where are you?
Me: I'm on Memorial somewhere.. hang on a sec.. oh yeah, I'm at... 81st and Memorial.. where the heck are you?!
Her: I'm right behind the Quick Trip.
*Takes a look around and sees a Quick Trip right in front of her*
Me: Omg, I see you.

Haha, it was totally fate. :P BTW, Tulsa is huge.. was fairly amusing to both of us that we were both at the same exact spot at the same time when I asked her to lunch.

Anyway, I'm long winded.. I know. We ended up going to Olive Garden for lunch and the staff sang Marissa Happy Birthday and she didn't know what was going on.. she got shy and looked at the table instead of them. lol

But we went home after that, Marissa got a nap and I decorated for her party. Lots of people came over last night, lots of pizza, cake & ice cream. Tons of presents.. she's way too spoiled. My sister didn't get off work until 9 last night so she came over kinda late and hung out until 11. Marissa was so tired by about 10. I kept her up so my sister could see her.

Have I mentioned how clumsy my girl is? She was standing on a chair in the dining room and leaned back way too far and ended up flipping the chair and rolled when it hit the floor. She was okay, just really scared. I hope she learned her lesson standing on chairs.. probably not... :P

Last Saturday my mom took her to the Aquarium for her birthday and so I could catch up on some sleep. Sunday we took her to the zoo for her birthday and she had a blast. It was soooooooooo hot though. So stifling and sweltering..it was horrible. The zoo had this thing called Featherfest. You had to pay $2 to enter this building that had tons of birds in it and they gave you a feed stick. You held it up and birds would jump on your stick to eat the food. It was fun.. Marissa had a blast. She kinda freaked out though the first time a bird jumped on her stick and she dropped him. lol Poor bird. Then as we were leaving the building, right above the exit sign were two birds getting it on.. we laughed.

After the Zoo on Sunday we rushed over to my dads house where we went swimming and had dinner and celebrated my baby sister Samantha's birthday. All in all its been a very busy, fun week so far.

I need to get the pictures from my mom when she has time. There are some really cute ones of Marissa. :)

Classic Jonathan (my brother) & Marissa :) We still call him Bubba :P
