I've been writing this little by little for the past couple of weeks so that I didn't forget what I went through while I was in ICU. I'm sure there are a ton of things I missed but I wrote down what I could. I'm also the worlds worst writer and horrible at making coherant thoughts at times so you don't have to read it.

Very long story )
On my fourth day in the hospital after I was sent downstairs to the regular part, the nurses didn't know to give me the antibiotics for the pneumonia at a slower pace. The antibiotics ended up blowing the vein and the fluid started filling up my arm. This IV was in the middle of the underside of my arm due to them running out of places to put it. I kept telling my nurse that the IV hurt and they didn't listen to me. There was a lightening storm and their cell phones went out and I had my light on and no one came to see what I wanted for more than an hour. I even got up and stood out in the hallway with my IV poll and no one came. I called and they said someone would be right in but they weren't because no one could get ahold of the nurses on their cell phones.
Ends up that I had fluid leaking into my arm for more than an hour. By the time someone came to find me my arm was very swollen and they took the IV out and put it somewhere else. That is the site that is still bruised. The bruise is about 3 inches long. It sucks. I hated being down in the regular section of the hospital.
