Work, or lack thereof
Well, I've officialy been out of work for a week. Got laid off last friday, because the company, like many others have decided that to keep their profit margins up, they should lay off people.
I honestly had hoped our little branch wouldn't be hit with that. Normally we are a five person crew: Manager, salesman, secretary, floor guy and me with Deliveries....Well, guess business hasn't been good enough for them to justify a delivery driver any more. And we haven't had a sales guy in months after the last one got canned.
I've taken it pretty easy this week, simply trying to keep myself from exploding. Did a few job searches, mainly at places I want to work but am not likely to get hired.
So at this point, I'm just at a loss for what to do. This economy has made a freaking crapshoot of any job anymore....
I'll get better, but doesn't mean I have to be happy about the circumstances.
