BLITEOTW
I noticed something strange almost as soon as I stepped out the door this morning. It was quiet, with very little traffic about.
Driving to work there was almost no traffic on the freeway. I was happy at first, without thinking about why on a friday, the busiest of days, the freeway would be so empty. Got to work and got into my work truck.(I drive deliveries for a living).
This is when I started getting worried. 8 AM on I-5 through the heart of Seattle....that is usualy one of the worst stretches to get through. And I sailed through like it was the middle of the night. Saw some cars swerving across the road, but I didn't connect the dots yet at that time, contributing it to the usual lousy drivers that are quite prolific in the area.
On the way back after making the few deliveries I had(no one home), I saw the first of them. There was a wreck on the side of the road, and I saw a few people milling about. Again, not too unusual until I drove past and saw the bloody faces and blank stares. I floored it and raced on by, watching in my mirrors as they turned and chased for a short distance.... I'm on my laptop now, using a rest-area's wi-fi connection to check in and see if anyone else is seeing these things. I pray that I can make it home, at least I have some weapons I can defend myself with. As it is, all I have is a small box cutter and a pocket knife...not something I want to use on these things really....Is anyone else out there?
