Also wondered if some illustrated editions of Song and Ice and Fire will ever be released? The dream, of course, is seeing Alan Lee and John Howe have a go at it!

There have been illustrated editions of all the goods, from Meisha Merlin and Subterranean, featuring art from some of the world's greatest fantasy artists.

John Howe illustrated the A Clash of Kings Meisha Merlin. Meisha Merlin only did extremely limited versions of A Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings. I think Jeffrey Jones did A Game of Thrones but my copy isn't handy right now to check.
