Have fun! We have a whole group of ASOIAF reddit fans planning to attend. We're all looking forward to seeing you. If you stay off the main drag, look at a place like Nick's Fish House for some of the best crabs in the city.

I hope this is on-topic, but John Picacio mentioned on twiter that you were reading a brand new chapter from WINDS that you haven't read or released previously. Without spoiling anything, I wonder whether you might say whether this was true or not?

Regardless, you'll have a blast. Weather looks to be beautiful out here while you're here!

What I said was I'd heard George was reading a new chapter from WINDS OF WINTER. When people asked me if it was a 'brand-new chapter that he's never read before', my reply on Twitter was "I don't know." I never said he was reading something never previously released or read before.

We really had to cut down Aegon III's regency something fierce for the world book. The Hour of the Wolf got covered in, like, a paragraph.

So if you're considering TWoIaF/Fire and Blood material as possibility, I think that'd be an excellent choice. Don't think many would be disappointed to learn more about Cregan Stark, Black Aly, and all the rest.

If I may suggest something unorthodox for reading: How about that Tyrion chapter from A DANCE WITH DRAGONS that didn't make the final book?
