Makes perfect sense to me. Out of curiosity, in a totally hypothetical world where wishes are reality -- let's say a movie is made, what would you like portrayed on the silver screen? The Dance of the Dragons? Regency of Aegon III? Aegon IV? DUNK AND EGG? the War of the Ninepenny Kings? Or a blow-out LOTR conclusion to the story?

No one is going to make a movie from some entirely different epoch in Westerosi history, with a whole new set of characters.

If there ever is a movie, it will be part of the current saga, and will star the actors and characters the audience loves.

Now maybe if that one grosses $300 million dollars or so, we can start talking about some of the ideas you're floating there.

But it's all hugely unlikely.

If a successful GOT-era movie ever happens and producer people now want the other stories set in the world, what would you (Mr. Martin) personally like to see on the big screen before anything else?

Call me biased, but having recently finished FEVRE DREAM, I would almost rather see Abner Marsh, Joshua York, Valerie and Damon Julian on the big screen. Imagine my delight to learn that Ron Donachie (Ser Rodrik Cassel in GAME OF THRONES) narrated the audio version of the book.

P.S. Donachie would make for an outstanding Abner Marsh.
