there is a bigfoot living in my pile of dirty dishes...

as mr virgil pesters me about being on the computer an not slinging a cat toy around the room for his entertainment, i am in mortal fear of the big pile of dirty dishes piled up in my kitchen.  there is probably a bigfoot living among them by now, ready to stride out into my living room in some kind of bizarre david-lynch style dream sequence.  it's truly horrible.  there is literally not more than 2" of counterspace anywhere that doesn't have a dirty dish upon it.

the only thing that might make me face the pile is that i have a brand spanking new price pfister faucet that we installed over the weekend to replace our old one, which was unceremoniously peeing water into the kitchen cabinet below our sink - not pretty.  the new faucet is much nicer - it has a pull out sprayer.  the old one can go to hell.

if i can get my mind past the thought of those horrid dishes, i would be excited about my appointment tomorrow with the Caifornia School of Professional Fabric Design.  i am going to do it - it's a vocational program that spans about 1.5 to 3 years.  you get a portfolio out of it and job placement within the textile industry - it's also ridiculously affordable.  there is sort of nothing like it in the united states... of course there are programs like this at the art and fashion institutes, but nothing that is only targeted toward this part of the fabric and paper industry.  it's sort of like a dream come true.  so i'm going to go for it - i see it as a way to a much better job, and hopefully a lot of fanciful freelance work.  i cannot wait to take classes starting in april!

now, to confront that bigfoot living in the dishes...
