Good Shepherd Services, a leading NYC non-profit committed to the success of young people and families, is currently seeking a Case Worker for the Foster Boarding Home program.
The Case Worker provides comprehensive casework services for both children and families. He or she will engage both children and families in a problem solving process that leads to an appropriate plan of permanency for children and monitor foster homes to ensure children are being properly cared for. The Case Worker will develop community relationships in order to utilize local resources on behalf of families, participate in interdisciplinary team model practice, and focus on permanency planning and life skills development.
Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field required.
Must be able to establish working relationships with clients in need of counseling and supportive services.
Good written and verbal skills necessary.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
