I've turned this LJ into quite the Bleach journal, haven't I? I hope I'm not boring those of you who aren't familiar with the series. If so, I do apologize. Also, you should start reading it. XD!
I predict that Unohana will not fight Yammy. Or, if she does, she will not finish the fight and/or will have to be rescued by a male. This is why I predict that either Kisuke or Isshin will make their grand entrance in Hueco Mundo.
I also predict that Aizen will somehow turn the Royal Guard (Squad Zero) against the forces of Soul Society, and our first chance to see Unohana and/or Yoruichi fight will be against the former captain of Squad 12, Kirio Hikifune.
Why, you ask.
Well if you haven't already noticed, there's an unspoken rule about girls and girl fights in Bleach.
The Shonen Laws of Girl Fights:
1)Girls usually only have decisive wins when they fight other girls. Never guys.
2)If they fight guys, they do (usually) win but not without some cost to themselves.
2a)Girls unable to continue a fight are always rescued by men and never another woman.
Let's take a look at the Bleach girls' fights.
Following Rule 1
Orihime vs. Numb Chandelier - Numb Chandelier was a girl hollow.
Yoruichi vs. Soifon - Yoruichi took a beating at first but proved she could have won easily if she had really been serious.
Following Rule 2
Yoruichi vs. Yammy - she beat the snot out of Yammy but it was revealed that she hurt herself while doing so.
Following Rule 2 and 2a
Rukia vs. Aaroniero Arruruerie - Rukia succeeded in defeating AA, but she almost died in the process. She was saved from death by Zommari by Byakuya's timely appearance.
Nel vs. Nnoitra - Nel was kicking Nnoi's ass until she transformed back into her child form, and was saved from further damage by Kenpachi's timely appearance.
Soifon vs. Barragan - lost an arm before she seemingly beat him, and then it turns out she didn't, and now Hacchi is fighting Barragan.
Off the top of my head, I can think of only three fights that do not follow these rules.
Matsumoto vs. Kira Most of this fight was shown off-screen, but it's pretty clear that Matsu won.
Rukia vs. Rudobōn - Rukia won easily.
Soifon vs. Ggio - Once she got serious, he didn't stand a chance.
But anyway, the reason I bring this up is because Rule #1 is coming up in the Vizard/Espada fights. Lisa and Hiyori are matched up against Harribel. Now I'm just waiting to see if Rule 2 and 2a pop up.
