I received a stack of yaoi manga a while back. A bunch of Vol 1s of various series. Never got around to reading them. In a renewed effort to be more "librariany", I'm plowing through them, and intend to get caught up on other popular YA reading like the Percy Jackson series soon, too. While I might read the YA novels, I'm also going to be going through some "classic" fantasy genre books in audio format while knitting. Terry Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" series and Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series are some potential candidates.
But back to an observation about manga, I don't think it's really the format for me. I'm reading them without a problem, but the type of stories and the delivery leave me with a "meh" attitude. I don't hate it, but it's just coming across as mediocre.
