Election 2012

Unsurprisingly, my brother-in-law is a bit of a grumpus this morning. He posted this on Facebook: "The vitriolic, caustic, nasty, gloating this morning is precisely what I expected from the left. It's the new 'tolerant' normal. Hate is great ( Read more... )

LOL I almost missed your tiny little addendum. I was scrolling down to find the reply button. It's truly an art, grammatical and layout comedy.

I haven't forgotten that Christie was kind of an ass right up until he needed some help. I don't think a week of being decent buys you THAT much political capital. Although I still might respect him more than Romney--from what I've seen, he doesn't pander. He says exactly what he means and doesn't give a shit if it's politically correct. Which on second thought is what Bush did and I hated it. Still liking Obama.

I'm sure you mean America *doesn't* much like rape. Did you type this on your phone? But agreed, YAY. Note to GOP selves: First strip women of the vote, THEN push your barefoot-and-pregnant agenda.

Pelosi is okay, but I'm a Barbara Boxer fangirl. Yum.

It IS a sickness. Because if I ranted about the stupidity of all the trolls I come across, it would be a daily feature. He's just a once-a-week type rightwinger that I can focus on more succinctly. He's like my political frenemy.

You've got to use the space you have. This is what Twitter has taught me. Also, say vagina and bitch a lot.

I've forgot, I forgot immediately. I don't think the not giving a shit is such a problem when it is backed by actual competence and ability to know when not giving a shit is appropriate.

Possibly. Maybe America does like rape but doesn't like the idea of having to keep the children.

First strip women of the vote, THEN push your barefoot-and-pregnant agenda. Lol, a public service announcement for all dipshits.

I literally said the first name that came to mind. I don't fantasize about people who have anything to do with politics unless they are in charge of a country (literally or in a movie) or are Anderson Cooper.

You have such a hate crush.

"I don't think the not giving a shit is such a problem when it is backed by actual competence" Did you mean "not giving a shit is NOT such a problem..."? You never used to be this sloppy with grammar, although I do realize you have more on your plate than LJ anymore.

I don't think America likes rape. I think these politicians do. (Get ready, it's about to get feministy all up in here). I think these guys aren't just chauvinistic, they're misogynistic. I think they, deep down, believe that bitches have it coming and HATE that they can't be punished for the rest of their lives (because they are in complete denial about the psychological and emotional scars of rape). Like Dan said, they believe people, women in particular, should be punished for non-procreative sex, and legal abortion is flipping God off and freeing people up to sin. If I'm wrong, why zero legislation being passed to punish rapists more? On top of that, somewhere they wanted to legalize THROWING RAPE VICTIMS IN JAIL if they got an abortion. I'll tell you why: Because they have an entitlement attitude about women's bodies. Men are entitled to them, and rape and forced pregnancy is how they maintain that control. It's sick, and I wish I were being hyperbolic and hysterical here, but I really doubt I am.

Mmmm. Anderson Cooper.

Not a crush. I think the guy is physically easy on the eyes, but the rightwing ideals are an ENORMOUS turn-off.

Before all these clowns decided, "Hey, look! I can spout off what I really think now!" I would NEVER have believed we'd hear crap like this in the 21ST CENTURY. Where's that enlightened future Roddenberry promised us?
