What's new with me this week? Well, for twelve nail-biting hours there was a chance I would be jetting off to New York to see Rickman in a play

Yeeeeeah I think the effort would've been more of a mess than you'd want it to be. There's been on-and-off crappy weather and getting around is a pain.
Btw, the $25 tickets ($35 on weekends) were up in the gallery, above the mezzanine. Nosebleed seats, if you will. They weren't actually that bad, but I know you would've wanted to be down in front or at least the orchestra. And although it's a talky play, it's not so much about the financial stuff as it is about the family dysfunction and omg dramaramarama!
The reason I'm pretty optimistic about Alan being back is because this is at least his second time with BAM that I know of (before that was directing) and he's actually been made a chairperson. I don't know for how long, but he's obviously got a working relationship with the organization, so that's really cool. There'll be a next time! I'm sure there will be. I'll definitely send you those pamphlets and programs, though, but I want to see if I can get a second autograph out of him first. :D
I didn't know that about him (see? Not much of a fan at all, apparently). That does make it seem more likely he'll be back. And I'm saving my money! (in general, not just for him) So like I said, the next time I'm going to be more on the ball. (With your help, of course) ;)
Until then I'll watch my copy of "Private Lives" as a consolation. :D
