I know that I've been quiet lately, and in fact, I've been having one of the more stressful periods of my short life: we were served notice to vacate our apartment about 10 days ago--despite the fact that all the reasons for which the landlord might do so are completely discriminatory and illegal. Ever since I've been up to my eyeballs in an apartment search, all the while trying to keep on top of my job and feeling stressed about the fact that it's only two months until the baby arrives. We put in an application for a place today, so please keep your fingers crossed that it will all work out!!
One unexpected and beautiful bright light in the stressful maelstrom in which I've been living was an email from Shug telling me that I was nominated for the SS/HG awards. I really want to thank everyone who nominated me or one of my stories, as well as the administrative staff who organised the whole event, and pearle for making the banner.
