Hurricane, part 1

Sep 03, 2004 00:04

well i'm in the hotel, and Im soooo happy that i brought my laptop. there i absolutely nothing to do here. The restaurant is really good though--but to get there we have to go outside, so one the hurricane starts, we cant go eat if we want to!!
I saw Bush's speech tonight on TV. And im a registered democrat, but I am kind of a sway voter. I listened to his speech with an open mind, but I did not like it at all. I didnt like the way he delivered or the way his speech was arranged. I just didnt like it at all. There was something about Kerry's speech that got to me, and it wasnt the case with Bush. So I am pretty much voting for Kerry, unless you can sway me the other way (which I am very open to). I guess, though that I am just scared that there would be a draft, and I dont know how anyone can just tell someone to go defend their country. (Israel is another story comletely, I just have very seperate feelings about them, and Id rather volunteer to help Israel then America!) I dont really think there will be a draft, but its a possibility because I know of 2 people who are older and have kids, already served their time in the army or navy, and they have been given 2 weeks to pack their suff up and go. They both have kids and families of their own. It just makes me think that they are "running low" so to speak on soliders. Being of draft age, I dont even know what I would do..I dont even want to type it on the comp..but you guys get the picture!
Well, that is all I have for tonight.
I left my Cd's at home, so I only hvae the ones that I uploaded to my computer--which is the usual. dashboard, spiderman, counting crows, jorma...
speak to all of you soon...be safe!!!!!!!!!
LOVE,
Jacqueline
