R.I.P Borders

Borders is closing. Big surprise there right? We all saw it coming, it was just impossible to say how long corporate would try to save a ship that everyone knew was going down. Before I worked there, I was one of those people who would go there late at night because I didn't have anything else to do and wonder the aisles and my time browsing. Working there was,for the first few years, great. I loved working there in the beginning. After spending 5 years there however, I had my fill rude, stupid and generally ignorant customers. Looking back now, I am sad I couldn't last till the end. Now, with Borders closing there are only two large chain books stores left in the area; Barnes and Noble and BooksaMillion. The latter being a pigsty and not worth shopping at in my opinion.

I'm sad that Borders is closing and curious to see where the future of media is going. Hopefully its only changing and not fading away. I wish now that I had found Media and Communications sooner in my college career. Ugh. I'm so lost in more ways than one.
