I had a blast being home for Thanksgiving. Food, Family, Friends, who could ask for more. Most of the people who read this know what I did all weekend because you all were there, so I won't rehash it here. But I say again, it was a great time.
I got home Sunday and went to Rudy's house. Rudy is a guy I met through this new church I'm goin to. I'm goin to it because I met the minister, Darren, every week for a bible study and thought I would check out his church. The people there are cool as hell. Rudy is a gamer like me. Sunday he had a Halo party. Darren was there, yeah I know, a minister who plays Halo, cool beans. Anyway, there were about 10 of us at any given point of play, some people left and some came in throughout the evening. We played from about 6 to 10:30 and then watched Alien VS. Predator. It was so bad it was good. I had a blast that night. I miss playing Halo with a group of friends, just to play and hang out.
But yesterday started my week of hell. I have a 12 page paper due friday that I'm almost half-way finished with. It'll take up most of my week. Then, once I finish that I have to start a 10 page project that is due next tuesday. If this doesn't sound too bad let me tell you waht these papers are over. The 12 pager is a re-inventing of David Hume's Natural History of Religion; I'm calling it the Natural Evolution of Religion. The 10 pager is a piece explaing two or three of the major hurtles in Biblical interpretation and translation. Exciting to do (at least to me), but not both at the same time. I really need to learn to manage my time better.
Lear's is in the same boat I am, and we are both getting stressed. I can tell because our strip talk this week has been sluggish at best and snippy(on my part) at worst. We should be able to throw something together though; Milk Crate is, for some reason, a big priority to me. It's sad that I care more about my hobby than my chosen study, and I love my field.
Well, enough poutting for the night, perhaps I will try to relax before bed tonight so I may sleep better, the past two nights haven't gone so well.
