My Mojo t-shirt and Collect-a-bands arrived! sbj/essbeejay/Jen, you are now officially the SWEETEST person I have ever met... on the internet. I FREAKIN LOVE YOU.
And it came yesterday (10 days from Burbank to Dublin, Ireland - quick!) on the day I went back to school after Halloween break and everything!
Not to mention, Jen, that you had to shelve out $33 between price and postage... I definitely owe you, girl.
Though I had trouble making out your signature on the outside package (is your name actually Jen?) the real joy came when I opened the package.
Inside was the following note on a Powerpuff note sheet with the girls in a corner:
Congratulations Groudo!
Your enthusiasm + support for the comm is so appreciated :) Thanks for a great year at the adorable community!
Here's to another! (I hope the shirt works out!)
Best,
J.G./Jen (it's a little hard to decipher)
I'm not gonna lie... my fanboy emotion (doesn't get tapped into that often, actually) swelled SO big there. I am so flattered, Jen. REALLY. Doesn't hurt that I've written the most drabbles of anyone (12), of course, but I love it! You guys are great writers, real talented, and I'm honored to be a part of it. And to get a personal note from sbj herself... it's indescribable. Still can't believe I won the random drawing...
As for the t-shirt itself - awesome doesn't describe it. Length-wise, it's grand. It's a little tight around the shoulders, but nothing worth noting, really.
And the Collect-A-Bands, though I have yet to open them, are equally awesome.
And... I think now it's time I came out, fellas (lady fellas, mostly)...
Groudo's not my real name.
Obviously.
It's Mike.
Technically Michael, but I prefer Mike.
I've been struggling with it for some time, but I think I can go by my real name from now on here. My username won't change, and I'll still respond to the nickname "Groudo," but I'll prefer Mike if possible.
I've always wondered how well I fitted it with all you people, really. Most of you have known each other for years. I've been around here just over a year as of now. My Livejournal posts are rare. Contest entries are how most of you have noticed this quirky fella. I'd like to think, by now, I feel part of this group of PPG fans for real. Do I? I dunno. But you guys are always so sweet, especially Jen, that I feel right at home here. So I hope to keep on internet socializing with you all!
Got a bit gushy there. Again, thanks Jen SO MUCH. If you ever need anything, you know where I am (on Livejournal, of course. And fanfiction.net, and Deviantart). Bye everybody
