Computer Guru Fail
Well, it's a week to go before taxes are due, so I've begun getting the necessary parts together. I use TurboTax, and I expect things to go pretty smoothly. Except that my old hard disk mostly-died this past fall. I rescued all the files in all my directories. But, of course, TurboTax stores my old returns in its Program Files directory, not in any of my directories. The the cumulative knowledge of all my previous years was... not rescued. Fail.
Fortunately I think the mostly-dead disk *may* be on a shelf in my office. I may yet be able to suck those bastards out of there.
