Have just been playing with the BBC Election Seat Calculator. Now, quite probably I should not be expecting the algorithms to be accurate for swings of more than around 10% between Labour and Conservatives, but nevertheless...

(1) A three-way between the three main parties (208 seat each) requires:

• 27.0% support for Labour
• 33.0% support for the Conservatives
• 39.9% support for the Lib Dems

while (2) 30% support for each parties gives:

• Labour 315 seats (11 short of an overall majority)
• Conservatives 206 seats
• Lib Dems 100 seats

No wonder the Lib Dems want to reform the voting system, bless 'em!
