so....
So since I really hadn’t noticed how long it has been since I posted, For the most part I really only had time to read other peoples posts rather than updated a lengthy rant in which I may not be able to do that this time around. So still working at arbys (deadcowsweatbox) full time, the high school kids (that aren’t able to work in the back) dislike me for stealing there hours, even though they are rich yuppies. Oh yeah so living off of Manchester, this part of Saint Louis is “West County“, and it’s known for rich peoples… we still get the toothless farmers with the thickest accent you have to scrape off the counters. . But I don’t mind, it’s just everyone who goes through drive through (in which I hate working) is an ass hole. Never the less,
I suppose I have not explained that I can do just about everything in the store, excluding manger stuffs of course, but speaking of which I am being trained to become a manager. ::finds giant hammer of justice:: XD
Aside from work, I’ve been hanging out with two guys Eric and Jesse for the most part, we go get coffee, or watch movies. More recently we started a role playing game, similar to D&D v3.1 but at the same time not at all. Jesse is the GM in this game and we have a lot of free will in the game, I’m a half elf ranger (go figure) and it’s a good fun game filled with killing and scary vampires.
When they aren’t around I usually walk up to uncle bills and get coffee, I go there just about every other day if not than I just walk around...try to find a place to be alone. I have been hanging out with guys from my work like Herberth, Javier, and Daniel they are really nice, and I’ve hung out with them a handful of times after work and walked around with them, the other night I had authentic Salvador “common” cuisine, called Pupusa. Herberth is from there and moved here two years ago. And not too many people in the st louis area are Salvadorian, so he tells me, so just about every weekend him and his brothers head to a ladies house from there as well to eat. And I went with this time his eldest brother drove (he speaks English fluently) he went (being the only American with girl there) It was fun and had a very homely feeling to it, I think there was only one other Girl there that spoke English (out of maybe 30 people) Herberth’s English is decent for being here two years but we still have a big language barrier, but we get by.
Reminds me of this morning I was prepping with Jesus (yes I work with jesus XD XD) and he only speaks Spanish, and he was trying to explain something to me and I was like “O__o” Never the less I’m able to understand a few words here and there but in the end he got his point across.
The Mexicans at work are very nice and I (somewhat) talk with them the most… just interesting.
I have a Spanish dictionary yet I need a pocket sized one I can carry around. Meep
This one older guy I work with his name is James, yet half of the time I just want to punch him in the face, he is nice to some extent but just talks out of his ass 24/7 and gets pissed off when you don’t hold a conversation with him, an other aspect is when he complains about opening. (also note you have to be 18 to prep and work back line) So dahlia or Jesus, Mauricio open most often and they speak a little bit of English but they get what need to be done, done… because they arent stupid. But because James fails to understand them or try to, he gets annoyed and just bitches about how they shouldn’t even be working there just because they cant speak English perfectly, I think after he complained about that to me is when I really started to dislike them, and he tends to complain about that fact often… anyhow..
I think my brain died but I will be posting more later at a later date about co workers and what not.. And I think by my birthday I will have my room and a little bit more privacy.. So that is a good sign and means I wont be setting fire to this place any time too soon.
I need to go to bed and wake up early for more work. Not to make this sound like a complaint though i havent had a day off in over a week and im tireddd...
