Last night's nap turned into a marathon 13.5 hour sleep session. This is what I remember from my weeeiiirrrddd dreams:
1. Kathy came into my room quietly to drop off something. It woke me up, and we talked though I don't remember what about.
2. I kept telling myself in my dreams that it was "___ 'o clock" but would wake to see that it was not. It was very difficult to separate the dream from real life.
3. While getting my haircut, I asked my hairdresser if I should get my bangs trimmed or not. She/he left, a crazy guy came by who had a costco namebadge with the name "JANITOR," but I thought he was gay so I figured he could cut my hair OK. He cut off my bang(s) completely. Logic is not my best attribute in dreams.
4. The craziest one yet. It was this long drawn out sequence that ended up being sort of like the Asian version of Phantom of the Opera. I can not even begin to comprehend this one. There were early scenes... girls in medium size groups, scene ending abruptly when some weird guy enters the picture and the girls become uneasy. This continues until I am eating out at a restaurant later on, and the guy reappears. The story is explained, I call the cops. Here's how the story goes... a young Japanese woman is married off to a disfigured Japanese man in the early 1900's. She can not bear to look at his face while sleeping, so he wears a mask akin to the Phantom's. For some reason she occasionally wears a mask too. Maybe they are kinky. She still cries herself to sleep every night. At some point, she is able to escape from him and finds herself in America. The ugly husband searches for her throughout America, alarming young girls with long hair. He has no sense of time and how humans age, so he always searches for a young girl. We knew this to be true because he tried to grab Katie Holmes but saw a Marilyn Monroe type movie star and turned on his heels. In any case, by the time I am having dinner with this woman, she is old and has permed hair as all Asian woman are wont to do.
Dreams are supposed to reflect your innermost self? Huh.
