sweet rice
Got to love random neighbor peering out at Jay and I as Jay is about to go off to work. Now my mind wonders wtf he wanted. He has never spoken to me.
Kind weird. Oh well.
Jay asked this morning why I was being 'bitchy'? I have no idea where its coming from.
We talked last night about how I gave up so much to come here and that I'm missing my friends and family so much. Yes I do want to go back to Adelaide but in leaving would tear a part of me out, I would miss Jayson as much as I'm missing my family. He also said he would go back to his old ways of smoking and I dont know what else if I did.
Jay worries what kind of job he will be able to get in Australia. Although he did say he wanted a place near the beach and buses and or trains till he gets a car. He has skills for airport work but no longer wants to work out doors. He wants to get into maybe the casino type work so that he has a good CV for the people in Australia. Although he said he was willing to work for less. Jay only gets $10 an hour. And you dont get more for working weekends or late hours. Well not like you would in Australia.
I kinda learnt to make the sweet rice dish I like again but this time with fresh corn. We made lots of it. Its so good. ^_^
My mother in law gave me a new purse to use. Its different to what I used to have. Rectangle and a clasp in the middle. You open it up and there room for notes and coins on one side and cards on the other. Its like a case. Its pink and purple and I like it. It will take me a while to get used to it but it matches kinda to my new phone too. ^_^
For all the coins they have here, they dont really use them much. People look at you strangely if you use coins to pay for things. Only really quarters are accepted (25c)
