Ahhh. Ah.
The Dashboard Concert was astonishing. The songs were sung with such vigor, such emotion! It was louder than anything I've ever heard, but worth every dollar and moment. I also purchased a shirt.
Break.
My weekend was comprised of 65% fun and 35% disappointment. I knew we would make finals, I could feel it; I could feel everyone feeling it. But when North Hardin was announced, it was like having a part of you removed. Losing sucks, there's no two ways about it. And I know it's not about winning, it's about doing your best and having fun. We did our best in that run, and we had a blast doing it too. It's hard to grasp that all this hard work, all this time spent, all the sacrifices made, all the mistakes made, the successes, the fun, friends... that all of that didn't pay off the way anyone wanted it to. Hm. All the more reason to win it all next year, right?
Aside from all that, I had a great time at the hotel. Nothing beats making stop-motion movies with Kendall and Bethlyn, sitting in the lobby, getting my hair straightened (hott much?), craptastic service at Denny's, all that good stuff. I even played a little DDR. There was also sitting in the hall listening to classical music and being silly. On the way to Bowling Green we ate Taco Bell and I got hepatitis. Man, it's the pits. On the way back we ate Wendy's, which was just slightly nauseating.
The busride home was pretty fun. I played some mariokart with Bethlyn and Kati, then, erm, vomit appeared under the seats and Mr. Jaggie almost died.
Now that band's over I need to reach some goals of mine. Why sure, I'll share a few of them with you.
1. Practice trumpet, get into Wind Ensemble next year.
2. Practice piano, build up guts to play in front of people.
3. Focus on school and bettering my grades.
That's all you're getting, I'm sorry.
I need to plan my sweet 16. Decisions, no thanks. Permit, yes thanks.
GERT!!
