I'm married now.

The honeymoon was strangely fantastic. Normally if I go on vacation there are things I want to do, places I want to see, stuff like that; instead, Ike and I averaged 16 hours of sleep for five days and I gained probably ten pounds from all the food. We left the boat once, to spend about 4 hours on the beach at Half-Moon Cay. And in those 4 hours, we dozed, we ate, we spent a little time in the ocean...man, this really was the best vacation either of us could have asked for.

The wedding was almost everything I wanted, too. I say 'almost' because weather and airport mischief meant that Sarah, Sorcia and Kyrian, and my uncle Steve couldn't come; some of Ike's family (a couple pairs of D&Js, although I'm not sure which ones) also got stranded at their origin points as well. Of the 225 people we invited, I think 90 or so actually made it. But from the sound of things, everyone had a good time and liked the music I put together, so I'm going to call it a success.

Now I'm unemployed but made myself a 10-point to-do list, everything from reorganizing the kitchen and our closets to finalizing and patterning all the garb we have fabric for down in the basement. I'm hoping that I hear from the three schools I've applied to sooner rather than later, but I'd at least like to have the time to get some of the stuff on the list done....

All in all, this first week of married life has been pretty nice. Let's hope the rest of life falls in line soon, too.
