PTO at work is awarded yearly, I think; well, I haven't seen evidence to the otherwise, so I'm going to assume that it's a yearly thing.
I have 128 hours of PTO available, according to my last pay stub; that's 16 8-hour days.
Wedding and honeymoon? 11 days total.
Springwar? 4 days total.
Tribal rev? 4 days total.
SO, i have to take a wash on at least three days of not being at work this year, but because I have to specify dates to use my PTO, I can conceivably get paid, oh, on my wedding day, or the entire time we're on the cruise. If I use it in 6-hour increments rather than 8, I can get paid for every vacation I take this summer and still have a couple hours left over.
This is assuming I get the days off that I want (the concern is mostly for SW and TR; they really aren't going to be able to make me work the week of or after the wedding) and that someone else doesn't beat me to the punch on it. I'm requesting regular days off for the bridal shower in MN (first weekend in April) and over holidays.
I said I wanted to be back from the gym by 11:30. I had better get going.
