This mood is dumb

So many shows, so many shows, and when they'll stop? Nobody knows.

Shows on the agenda for me and my compadres:

May 3rd - Ben Kweller and Death Cab For Cutie

May 24th - Cursive

May 25th - Cursive

June 13th - Piebald and The Jealous Sound

That's not even taking into account the four consecutive Saturdays that Nomis Kid has gigs. (Wow! Four conceutive Saturdays!?!?! That's unheard of!!)

Speaking of bands that I play in: Brave Not Noble is so ready to have a bassist. So ready that sometimes Zen whimpers during his sleep. So ready that Spike is going on an all high-fructose corn-syrup diet till we find someone. So ready that I've tattooed (with a guitar string on my arm) a running tally of the days we've been needing a bassist. So ready that our band practices are hardly more than emo-thon cry-fests where we sob over our lack of low end. So ready that we're thinking of signing on to a low budget remake of the Lord of the Rings trilogy filmed entirely with sock puppets to pass the time untill we find a bassist. So ready that we've started auditioning aardvark and larger animals that look good wearing acid-wash jeans, peach colored t-shirts, and bass guitars. If this all doesn't sound ready, I don't know what does.

For those of you who've never ventured so far back in my past as to have read my first post, Here it is: http://www.livejournal.com/users/groovemonkey/2001/05/26/

"The wisest men say that one's way of life can be judged by their first act of the day; Many just let it down the drain, others fight the TP monster, and some eat breakfast." -Ninjanic proverb
