It's because I'm short, isn't it?
Things are looking up. I am feeling better, my husband is feeling better (so much so that I can hardly keep his mitts off me!) and I just got a 25 dollar bonus at work, which will come in mighty handy for the holidays. I am whoring myself out musically at every opportunity, and had a good Monkees practice last night, I sang lead on about 1/3 of the songs. Come to the Lucky Dog on January 7 and watch me pass out from stage fright! Slowly getting over that. I figure the more I do it, the easier it will get, right? Actually, as I remembered last night, my BIGGEST fear was that, though I have loved to sing since I was a child, that I would find out that I have been tone deaf all these years. But although I am still uncomfortable with the tone of my voice, and I have a LONG way to go as far as technique goes, I am pretty much on key when I can hear myself. YAY!
