It’s the longest I’ve written, prolly wont do another that length. It ended up like that as I took chienne_folle’s advice and let the story flow. Lol! Couldn’t stop the flow obviously!!!!! Ha ( Read more... )

I for realz want to give you feedback, especially since you asked. I need to get caught up with my reading! Compromise? I'll crank through some work today and read during my breaks.

Oh I’m excited and shitting myself!

But look, don’t feel compelled. I completely understand you’ll get to the story when you have time! I know you have 72 papers. :)

My take on Snape is...Er, just generally Getting On With Things with a medium amount of competence.

Zero smut. Know thyself. I’m the worst at it so don’t bother.

Sounds magnificent. :)

Also, only 54 papers now!!!! And seriously, as much as I enjoy a good article in Biogeosciences ...oh feck, I can't even type that with a straight face.

Lol....

I used to have the worst time keeping my articles straight. After a while they all blended together.

Word. I started off doing the occasional annotated bibliography in self-defence, and it turned into what is now my standard procedure. It's hard keeping everything straight, b/c most of what I'm working on right now is a separate field to my own. In my own discipline, I recognize names, I 'know' who everyone is. (Even to the point of actually knowing most of them.) I don't have those external reference points for other disciplines, so it doesn't always stick straight in my head.

There was one guy in my field who was ridiculously prolific. But it felt like every single one of his articles was the same experiment. I mean, he was focused on his speciality but still....

Yeah, there are two ways to be hyper-prolific: 1) stick in the same narrow discipline, so that once you've learned it, it's easy to stay abreast of new developments, 2) Have grad students and undergrads arranged in a pyramid of power and productivity.
