Hmph. I'm a bit late blogging this.
On Friday, the
Open Rights Group launched
Privacy not Prism to solicit donations to cover the costs of
mounting a legal challenge in the European Court of Human Rights, on behalf of all internet users in the UK and EU, against the UK government, alleging that the recently uncovered unchecked surveillance in programs such as TEMPORA is a breach of the Right to Privacy under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights. I held off writing this for a couple of days until I'd finished my previous post, but they've already raised the £20,000 they were looking for, so asking people to spread the word about the campaign now seems a bit redundant.
Ah well. Thought you might like to know anyway.
