BTW, when I had morphine following knee surgery, I was convinced I didn't need to pee. The nurse sat me on the potty while she was changing my bed and INSISTED I TRY. I guess from your experience I can now see why. And once on the potty, I must have peed three quarts. I had no instinct I needed to go, and she said morphine deadens the sensation of needing to pee. So after your story and mine, I have to conclude we're both very lucky to have passed urine successfully while using morphine.
Congrats on your speedy recovery. I find walking makes a recovery improve tenfold. Must be psychological, but once I can wander around and go for walks, I may be hurting, but I feel FINE, as in WELL but recovering from something.
