First time Flying
I've been insanely busy this week but thought I'd post about an interesting experience on Tuesday, Had a friend in class, German dude by the name of Stephan, offer me a flight in his plane. I decided to take him up on his offer and a few hours after class, found myself in the cockpit of a cessna 172. Now I will admit, the first time up was a bit nerve racking and the turbulence in a small and light aircraft is pretty intense, but I eventually got the hang of it. Flew from Palo Alto to Half Moon Bay, landed there, then headed back. Was an amazing experience. Got to take the wheel for a bit too and flew the plane around on the return trip. The freedom offered by flying is simply stunning. I'll be seeing about attending ground school this summer and working towards getting a pilots license in the next few years. Some People like roller coasters, some people jump out of planes, I love flying. The excitement, exhilaration, and beauty of flying is worth every penny you dump into it.
