New Year's Resolution
She was going to make a resolution this year and stick to it. Sure, years past she never kept to them; losing weight, exercising more, stop biting her nails. But those really didn't mean anything and everyone made those. This year, she was going to make one that counted.
She was going to stop fooling around with guys. Not altogether. If she had a boyfriend, she'd fool around with him obviously. No. This resolution was to stop fooling around with her guy friends. Although, lately, it wasn't like those relationships ended badly like they did in the past. She really wasn't slutty or easy; it's just that her and a guy would hang out, one on one like, and they'd get bored. Maybe there was a lag in the conversation, or nothing on TV, or they had been dancing after some wine in his apartment. Whatever the case was, they'd start making out. Sometimes it led to more, sometimes it didn't. But she knew all of them, she was friends with all of them, and she was horny every time it would happen. It was never because she felt pressured to or because she wanted to hang out with them or their group, she was part of their group.
She knew she could keep this resolution. Definitely until her and one of her make-out friends got together again the following semester. It wasn't like there were many guys left at school she wanted anyways. Only a handful that she'd see all the time.
The resolution wasn't made out of guilt. Sure, there were moments when she felt like she was worthy of the slut title, but then she remembered that she did it for herself, and no one else. What does society call those girls? The same thing as those that get paid or do it for attention. It was going to be no problem to hold out on fooling around. She had a free subscription to a bunch of porn sites, and she knew how to take care of herself...just wasn't as much fun.
But this resolution was definitely going to last longer than the others in the past. It was going to last at least into the first week of school, so that would be about 3 weeks, almost a month.
