I know it's only been over a month since I graduated, yet again, from Marywood. I have a master's degree that now makes me overqualified for the jobs that I wanted when I had just a bachelor's degree (which back then was underqualified for.) I still make less than $9hr working on campus, since I don't need this job for the tuition benefits anymore I've been wrestling with trying to hold on til I find a job or just jump ship!
Pros
*Steady Income
*No gap in employment
*Will have money to cover all the yaoi/anime I pre-ordered for the summer months
*Um...I can check out new arrivals before everyone else (stretching it)
*Can apply for higher up jobs on campus, would have priority over out of house applicants (I think)
*Able to add $25/month to savings account
Cons
*Miserable, sick to my stomach every morning for the past month while getting ready for work
*Extremely underpaid, if not using tuition benefits no monetary perks
*Not using my degree in any shape or form
*Not having lunch breaks are becoming a common occurrence
*Put up with nepotism on a daily basis
*No further advancement from current position
*Would have to dip into savings account if I don't find a job within one month of leaving
I've been applying like a mofo for jobs, I have a long weekend because of all the comp time I accumulated this week. I hope to use my time wisely and paint the town with my resume if I must.
