The library is closed today so I don't have to visit my favorite minimum wage job. My temp position is only til August 3rd. Lately I've been worrying about what I will do when August rolls around and I'm dead broke. I've been looking for jobs all summer and I even put my resume on a few sites like Monster.com . I got a few offers but some of them would be too far of a drive or I just wasn't plain interested.
Blockbuster finally got back to me and I got the job. Yesterday I went down to fill out my paperwork and I actually got a shirt, Hollywood didn't give its employees anything at all-bastards. Since its the holiday this week I wont get my training schedule til Monday which I am perfectly fine with. Its not what I want to do for the rest of my life, its just a part time job for the time being. It was easy working in a video store before and I know I will end up keeping this job even when I get a "real" job with my degree. I will be working mainly at night and any other job I've applied for is during the day. I don't want to kill myself trying to work to much but I have alot of debt and I really want to take control of it. Nah actually I would like to smash it to little pieces and have my dog piss on its grave, can you tell I slightly dislike credit cards and their freakin' interest rates.
This month I am supposed to start paying back my student loans, I didn't get a bill in the mail yet but I know from calling AES that it is due July 19th. I better get it in the mail tomorrow, not like I am looking forward to it but I just want to send the payment out on time.
Also this week I've started to keep myself busy working on some freelance writing assignments. I'm for now just writing small 400-word articles that will be used on websites. Its not much pay, about $2-$5 per article, but they give me links for information about the topic which is nice since the research can be time consuming. Plus it will be great to even get $50 extra a week I can use it.
